Hello! My name is Emily Figliano and I am excited to provide you with an overview of my position as Director of Wellness and Support for CLSD! First and foremost, I will have the opportunity to provide direct service to STUDENTS. This means I will work alongside each building school counselor to help provide lunch bunch and small group counseling services. In addition, I may also see a student individually as needed. I will coordinate activities and serve as the liaison between the school district and outside agencies. I will assist school counselors with crisis assessments as well as the development of crisis intervention plans. I will assist school counselors with the section 504 process as needed. I will help FAMILIES by assessing needs and locating the COMMUNITY resources needed to ensure people are taken care of. I will share resources as I learn of them by maintaining a resource page on the district website and I will also provide a quarterly newsletter. I will work closely with administration to ensure the best possible outcome regarding the impact of my position on our district.
