Picture Retake Day is Tuesday November 10th! Any students that were absent on the initial Picture Day or students wishing to retake their photo will have picture retake on Nov 10th.
Attention all 8th Grade Students and Parents:
In this year’s yearbook there will be a collage page specifically for eighth grade baby pictures. If you would like a baby picture of your child in this year’s yearbook you must email a picture to Mrs. Bellisario at [email protected]. If you are not able to email a picture to Mrs. Bellisario, your child can turn one into Mrs. Bellisario. She will not accept pictures that are professionally taken. Academic Challenge: At the beginning of the next school year there will be tryouts for 5-8 grade students interested in joining Academic Challenge. Students are expected to read the following book before the first meeting: 5/6 gr. must read Welcome to the Dweeb Club by Betsy Uhrig and 7/8 gr. must read Ravenfall by Kalyn Josephson. The summer would be a great opportunity to get an early start!

Student Fees: OVERDUE
Academic fees were mailed home to residences September 15, 2026 and are viewable on PowerSchool Hub. Unpaid fees will result in denial of students to participate in extracurricular activities including school sponsored activities, field trips, and enrichment programs.
Payment options: Pay through the PaySchools website accessed on the main page. Mail payments, along with the bottom portion of your statement, to the address listed on statement. We accept payments in the office by check made payable to Columbia Middle School or cash (exact cash please). Credit cards are also accepted in person in the office and will not incur the additional fee. Please contact the office with any questions at (440) 236-5741.
Join the Columbia Music Boosters and Columbia PTO for an evening of spooky season family fun at Fall Fest! There will be family fun for all ages, including raffle baskets, music, petting zoo, face painting, and delicious food available from local food trucks (Jones Bones BBQ, Franks N Shakes, Original Steaks & Hoagies, donutNV, and Island Ice). Mark your calendars and get those costumes ready—we look forward to seeing everyone there!
Columbia Schools & PTO's 10th Annual Family Night on the Farm for Grades PK-8 is on Tuesday, October 20. It is a fun filled literacy night where you pick your favorite stations and have some family fun. Tickets are $5 per person at the door. You will have access to all stations. Chromebooks, Chargers, and Insurance: Students are responsible for keeping chromebooks in good working order. If you have a damaged or chromebook that is not working properly, bring it to the office for repair. If you have lost or damaged your charger, you are responsible for replacing it. They are available on Amazon. Make sure you match the brand name of charger to the brand of your chromebook (ex. Lenovo, Dell, etc. ) and order the 65 watt option. Chromebook Insurance covers one screen break. Take advantage and bring in the cash or check for $25, note this must be on a separate check from any school/ athletic fees. This optional insurance must be purchased by September 15. New students to the district will have 2 weeks from their first day of school to purchase insurance. See Chromebook letter HERE
Report Cards: You may access and print a pdf. of your student’s report card in PowerSchool. Please note, report cards cannot be viewed on the app. You must login to the PowerSchool website to view and print report cards. Access PowerSchool from the MS website (toggle on left). The final report card will be mailed home at the end of the school year to all families.
Incoming 7th grade students: The Ohio Revised Code 3313.67 requires that a student entering 7th grade provide written evidence of being immunized against tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis, (Tdap) and meningococcal (MCV4) or is in the process of being immunized against these diseases.
You must provide the school with a current immunization record for your child.
