I am absolutely thrilled to join the Raider team and look forward to becoming a part of such an amazing district. As the new superintendent for the 2026–2027 school year, I am eager to partner with our staff, families, and community members to continue the great work happening in Columbia Schools.
To give you a bit of background, I have spent the last six years as the Principal of Strongsville High School, with prior principalship experience in Brooklyn and Cleveland spanning Pre-K through 12th grade. I actually began my career in education as a Special Education teacher in Bay Village.
In addition to my work in schools, I have also been a registered nurse for much of the past twenty years, with experience in Neonatal Intensive Care and adult long-term care. Operating in a hospital setting taught me how to rapidly assess complex situations, stay grounded under pressure, and, above all, treat every individual with the utmost respect and empathy. These lessons have profoundly shaped my approach as a school leader.
On a personal note, family is everything to me. My wife, Melissa, and I have been married for 25 years, and we have three amazing daughters (ages 24, 22, and 20). As residents of Strongsville, I actually had the unique joy of serving as my own daughters’ high school principal.
I firmly believe that schools have a responsibility to provide an education that reflects the values and needs of the community, while ensuring students graduate with the critical skills required to excel in college, the workforce, or the military. Our schools must be places where students are engaged as leaders of their own learning, supported by exceptional teachers who facilitate that growth.
I am incredibly excited to learn the "Raider Way" and to work alongside all of you to make our district the absolute best version of itself.
