Carla was born and raised in Lorain County. She is a graduate of Lorain Catholic High School. She holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Ashland University. Carla obtained her master’s degree in educational administration from Cleveland State University. She then pursued her principal and superintendent licenses through Ashland University.
Carla has been in the field of education for 22 years. Carla has taught grades K-6 during her teaching career. In addition to teaching, she served as an instructional coach, assistant principal, and principal.
Carla currently resides in Valley City with her boyfriend, Jason and two sons, Brady and Kyle. She LOVES animals and has three rescue dogs, two Labradors and one Doberman as well as six chickens and two goats. She has a large close-knit family that resides in Lorain County that she enjoys spending time with. When not at work, Carla enjoys gardening, cars, trying new restaurants, Cleveland sports, Disney, and the beach.
